Jayasinghe
Born in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) Migel Jayasinghe has lived and worked in three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe. He is still very active as an author and freelance journalist after retirement from his position as Senior Occupational Psychologist with the Royal British Legion Industries in Aylesford, Kent, UK. There, he established for the first time, a vocational assessment and rehabilitation facility, helping ex-services disabled men and women back into appropriate further education, training and fulfilling civilian employment (1996 – 2001).
Specialized in occupational psychology, Migel’s work is based on a sound training and skills background, in an eclectic range of counselling methods and techniques drawing upon psychodynamic, humanistic, NLP, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, and coaching. He now mostly identifies with Life Coaching, helping normal, healthy people to manifest and achieve goals that some of them had earlier rejected, or regarded as dreams unachievable in their lifetime.
Migel gained a ‘distinction’ in Life Coaching as accredited by the Life Coaching Academy (UK) in 2002. He gave a presentation and ran a workshop in Life Coaching at the First Russian International Life Coaching Conference held in St Petersburg on 22nd November 2002.
